God provides a way out and a way back but it is not without a price. God requires that we confess our sins and then go further - to repent of our sins to turn away from them and not return to them then we have demonstrated true repentance.

Jesus was our Savior on the cross, but He was also our Judge, and He forgave us and all mankind for the sins that are sins of omission. These are sins we are not aware of and so we can never confess. Jesus forgave these along with all other sins.
