  • A Plea For Action Series

Contributed by Joseph Marshall on Oct 9, 2022
     | 931 views

his Psalm is a prayer in which God’s inaction confounds the Psalmist against the wicked. Therefore, he beseeches God to Arise (v. 12) and lifts up his hand. Hence we could call this psalm A Plea For Action. There are many lessons to be learned from it:

    I. WHEN GOD SEEMS FAR AWAY (v. 1) A. There are times in the life of the godliest Christians during which God seems afar off and as if He is hiding. 1. A Christian should not doubt his salvation b/c he goes through such times. 2. This will be distressing for Christians. It is not troubling that we ...read more

Contributed by Daniel Habben on Aug 27, 2023

Unravel God’s Identity and Discover Your Own

I am going to start you off with a couple of “Who am I?” riddles this morning. “I dig out tiny caves, and store gold and silver in them. I also build bridges of silver and make crowns of gold. Who am I?” A: a dentist. Here’s another one. “I can shave several times a day but still have a beard. Who ...read more

  • God's Lavish Mercy

Contributed by Charles Mallory on Sep 21, 2023
     | 1,405 views

Salvation through Jesus is for all people. God is fair and just in how He works to reach the lost.

GOD IS FAIR AND JUST! THAT IS HARD FOR MANY TO GRASP. WE LIVE WITHIN THE SYSTEM OF PUNATIVE LAW: YOU GET WHAT YOU DESERVE. YET, THE SYSTEM OF GRACE IS FOREIGN TO US: GOD DEALS WITH US ACCORDING TO WHO HE IS, NOT ACCORDING TO WHO WE ARE. GOD EXPLAINED HIS GRACE AND COMPASSION TO MOSES IN EXODUS ...read more

The justice of God will be brought down on this society that lives for itself. All of the ungodly people who follow this will suffer the wrath of God, and we must always remember this!

  • Drowning In The Deep Series

Contributed by Paul Dayao on Aug 30, 2025
     | 92 views

When you are suffering for doing what is right, this psalm is a raw and honest prayer that finds its ultimate answer at the foot of the cross.

Introduction: When the Waters Rise Here in our city, especially during the rainy season, we know the feeling of rising water. We see a simple downpour turn a street into a river. We know the anxiety of a flood that creeps higher and higher, threatening our homes and our safety. There is a unique ...read more

  • Ok God, What Do You Want From Me?

Contributed by Michael Blitz on Sep 20, 2025
     | 256 views

Religion can sometimes be seen as a system of laws or rules designed to please God, but that is not what God wants. God wants a loving relationship with His Children, and that we follow His commands because we Love Him! Micah 6 and Galatians 5 help us to see the difference between Love and Legalism.

Good Morning. This morning, we have 2 excellent lessons intended to guide God’s people back on track from bad mindsets. Micah 6 begins in a heavenly courtroom. All of creation, the mountains and hills, are poetically called in as a jury to witnesses God’s case against His people. Israel has lost ...read more

When Paul left the synagogue (see 18:4, 6), he moved his place of witness to the house of a Gentile God-fearer named “Titus Justice,” who probably was one of those mentioned in 18:4 as being present in the Corinthian synagogue. The name Titus Justice...

  • The Truth About Power Series

Contributed by Scott Maze on Jun 4, 2021

Jesus doesn’t tell Zacchaeus, “I’ll stand in your doorway, but I will not come inside.” Jesus doesn’t tell Zacchaeus, “I’ll look in your window, but I will not come inside.” No, Jesus says instead, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down; for I must stay at your house today.” (Luke 19:5b)

We are in a short series of sermons entitled The Truth about You. And we conclude this series with a very famous story, the story of Jesus and Zacchaeus. This is the last of Jesus’ personal encounters (in Luke’s gospel) before He arrives in Jerusalem to be tried, crucified, and eventually ...read more

Justice is not an external system to which God tries to adhere. He didn’t have to go to law school or get a TV courtroom to learn how to apply the law. His justice comes out of his inner being and is based on His holiness, His truthfulness, and His righ

  • You Can Just Fill In The Blanks

Contributed by Joseph Smith on Dec 27, 2008

The work of Christ is not complete until we fill in the blanks of justice not yet done, kindness not yet given, and witness not yet shared. He wants our very cores.

To do anything these day, you have to fill out a form. Have you noticed? To get anywhere with anything you want to do, you have to fill out an application. Some of you have been job-hunting. So what happens? You go to the personnel office, you pull out your beautifully polished resume, the one ...read more

INTRODUCTION. This extremely noble act inspired ...read more

  • A Cry From The Heart Series

Contributed by Brian Bill on Mar 20, 2003
    based on 32 ratings

This psalm is an example of an “imprecatory prayer,” as it contains brutal honesty and an earnest call for God to bring His justice to bear on the wicked.

A Cry from the Heart As many of you know, I like to begin my sermons with humor, often at my own expense. This morning as we come to Psalm 10 in our series called, “Praying Through the Psalms,” I must confess that I can’t find anything very comical about this cry from the heart. Last week we ...read more

Expect oppositions in life and ministry, but stay focused. Listen to what God has to say, not man. Repay with grace, not justice.

How do you handle oppositions - people who do not like you, make fun of you, and always coming at you, with or without good reasons. • And worst still, you can’t run away from them; you are called to serve them. That’s Moses’ experience. And that can be our experience ...read more

  • The Hidden Option- Part 1 Series

Contributed by Jeffery Anselmi on Sep 14, 2018
     | 5,627 views

Next time things seem impossible, choose to paint the problem in the colors of grace and justice instead of black and white despair.

INTRODUCTION • SLIDE #1 • As we live life, we are constantly facing situations that require us to think, make decisions, and then act upon those decisions. • Making that process more difficult for us is the fact that we live in a world that is highly polarized. • We are Democrat or Republican, ...read more
