                    In the Old Testament the temple was the central place of worship. However, in the New Testament the focus is on the church, which is not a building, but a people of God who come together for teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayer. 
                
                    
                        We read in Act 2:46-47, And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, ate their food with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favor with all the people.
