We have heard the expression, "Let go and let God". Let your problems go and let God deal with them. Let go of your worries and let God take care of that. Let go of your past and let God give you a future. And yet we have forgotten that proven philosophy.

So many times, we have heard the expression, "Let go and let God". Let your problems go and let God deal with them. Let go of your worries and let God take care of that. Let go of your past and let God give you a future. All of that is as true as the Holy Scriptures themselves. And yet ...read more

Contributed by Glenn Pease on Mar 26, 2021

I cannot give away what I do not have, and so we must first be forgiven in order to forgive. We must believe in God's free grace of forgiveness before we can be free to forgive those who sin against us.

If God did not pardon the guilty there would be no Gospel, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Even so, we feel there is a danger in being too merciful. Abraham Lincoln was accused of this during the Civil War when he seemed willing to pardon just about anyone. He would defend ...read more

God's judgement is fearful. God will call to account those who reject him. Don't say you weren't warned. Return to the Lord.

The great and terrible day of the Lord. Are you afraid of God? Do you secretly harbour a fear of him? Maybe in your upbringing you were introduced to a god who scared you and this was reinforced as you read those violent stories in the OT. Does a fear of God turn you away him? Sin brought bitterness and hardship, so bad that horrible things were done among the people. These verses dwell on that today. God is blamed for it all through His allowing Babylon to come. They walk in darkness, but they suffer their own fate.

I want to preach a sermon titled after a very popular song called, “Singing in the Rain.”

The words of this song “Singing in The Rain…” come from a famous song sung by Donald O’ Conner.
