The Bible does not explain why violence and tragedies are a part of our world. We are not told why there was a serpent in the garden of Eden. We never told why bad things happen to good people. Yet men often speculate about the subject and are often wrong in their conclusions.

Water and thirst. Those are two powerful pictures that we find in Jesus’ interaction with a Samaritan woman at a well. May God the Holy Spirit enable us to recognize the insatiable thirst that sin gives us. And every day, let’s quench our thirst with living water.
