When God reveals His name, he gives the power and authority that comes with that name. Moses was telling to God that - knowing God as God of their forefathers is not sufficient to deliver them out of Egypt.

Mission. God wants us to reach out to ALL people. Even the ones we think are not good enough for church. Who are not intelligent enough. Smell badly. Don't dress well. Drink too much alcohol or take too many drugs.
