Praise does not change God; Praise changes you! Praise does not give God a new outlook, but praise changes your perspective on what God is allowing for your life. Praise does not take away your troubles, but praise reminds you that trouble won’t last always.

I composed this letter to my 14-year-old Great-grandson when I felt he was mature enough to understand and appreciate it. It might be something you would consider to send to any boy who you felt was the same way. Notice especially the last shortened stanza.

Why Doesn't God Answer My Prayers?

We've prayed so long, so hard, without any results. There is great assurance that He hears every prayer. He has made everything beautiful in its time. The longer a prayer is delayed, the more perfect it will come forth at last. The deeper the silence, the louder the answer.
