We go through great lengths to buy and purchase Christmas gifts for loved ones. We will break the bank in order to get the perfect gift. We wouldn't dare give someone a used or broken gift or put those items under our Christmas tree, but those items could be found under the Cross.

Using the analogy of a litmus test, this sermon juxtaposes the traits of arrogance over against the traits that reflect the DNA of love. It explores the inclusion of 1 Corinthians 13 sandwiched between chapters 12 and 14.

“Litmus test” is a process used to determine the nature of something. The Restoration Of Sight And The Reception Of Salvation

In John 9, we read of the healing and salvation of a poor, blind man who has received not only physical sight, but also spiritual sight to see that Jesus was the Promised One of God. We also witness the deliberate spiritual lack of sight by the religious leaders who rejected the Light of God.
