The prophet who cried out against Jeroboam's pagan altar in Bethel was on his way back home but stopped for a rest. Maybe he shouldn't have done this--he never made it back to his home alive.

The old prophet dwelt in Bethel, which means the House of God. The old prophet made a living in Bethel. The old prophet lived near Jeroboam yet did not have a message or word from God.
