Summary: A look at the pronouncement of the birth of John and what his birth entailed prophetically.

I. God spoke and proclaimed He had found the ones who would birth John the Baptist – the one sent to prepare the way

A. You are to call him John which means “Jehovah is a gracious giver.”

B. Many will rejoice because of him and return to the Lord their God.

C. This age will be a great time in the Lord and in the advancement of His Kingdom.

D. This child/time will be marked by purity and holiness.

E. This time will be filled with the Spirit of God from the beginning.

F. This child is being sent to restore broken homes and broken relationships and to prepare the people for the Lord’s coming.

II. The baby is leaping within the womb because he knows that the coming of the Lord is near.

A. The stirring that you feel in your spirit is the excitement of this baby as he senses the nearness of the Lord.

B. God is birthing in the hearts and spirits of many the eagerness and desire to advance His Kingdom and to see the kingdom of darkness brought down.

III. The one carrying the child is filled with the Holy Spirit and enabled to proclaim the coming of the Lord.

A. Those willing to carry and bear the burden of the Lord will be blessed and used by His Spirit.

B. The moment the Spirit came upon Elizabeth she cried out and exclaimed the goodness and favor of the Lord.

C. The Spirit will ALWAYS glorify Jesus Christ.
