This syndrome also reminds me of when we had our first child. We’re in the delivery room in Northside Hospital in Atlanta, while my parents and her parents are in the waiting room getting minute-by-minute updates form me! In fact, I recall running out there telling everyone it was a girl because as

Some years ago in Whitsunday Baptist Church a few men got together and started a prayer meeting. We met every week on a Monday morning at 6 am at Wyn’s place. It was high up on the side of a mountainous hill that overlooked Proserpine and back towards Airlie Beach. They were great prayer meetings.

ARE YOU A CHIEF STUDENT?
David Friedman, in They Loved the Torah p. 61 comments about Peter (Shim'on):
I see Shim'on as Yeshua's Torah-observant....talmid hakham...a Hebrew technical term meaning the leading student (of a rabbi). Every famous rabbi who daily taught the same students had a talmid

A father walked by his daughter’s bedroom door which was cracked just enough so that he could see that she was kneeling beside her bed in prayer. Interested to find out what subjects a child would bring before God, he paused and listened. He was puzzled though to hear her reciting the alphabet:

The apostles were a great example of the difficulties of loving one another, and Jesus knew it.
There’s a scene in the epic Franco Zefferelli movie, Jesus of Nazareth, in which Jesus arrives at the house of Matthew, the tax collector, for dinner as he told Matthew he would. Peter and the other

Not long ago I witnessed an ACCIDENT. A car ahead of me pulled out of it's lane into a bus lane and collected the car that had been coming up from behind him in that lane. It left a sizeable dent in each car. Each morning as I travel to the Shalom Centre I see many people use Sydney bus lanes

The busy, harried pace of Jesus’ last week in Jerusalem reminds me of a recent trip back home to Oklahoma. In the 22 years of our marriage, we have never been to Grandma and Grandpa’s house without someone else in the family coming into town to see us as well. Some cousin, or Uncle, or friend comes

Ninety-two percent of the Christians attending a recent Bible conference admitted in a survey that feelings of loneliness are a major problem in their lives. All shared a basic symptom: a sense of despair at feeling unloved and a fear of being unwanted or unaccepted. This is a tragic commentary

THE RESURRECTION IS CRUCIAL
So significant is this event that the whole of the Christian faith would fall if the resurrection of Jesus Christ were not true. William Lane Craig suggests that, “Without the belief in the resurrection, the Christian faith could not have come into being. The disciples

GROW OUT OF YOUR SHELL
From time to time lobsters have to leave their shell in order to grow. They need their shell to protect them, yet if they do not abandon it the old shell would become their prison – and finally their casket.
We are not much different from lobsters. To change and grow we
