PROMISE?
We make a lot of promises to others and many promises are made to us. Sadly, too many promises are broken on both ends of the equation. God, however, never breaks a promise.

Don’t let the broken promises of this world keep you from believing the promises of God.

FAITH AND PROMISE
When something is promised, you have not seen it happen yet, have you? If I promise my wife that I'm going to clean out the basement, there's no proof that you can see. There's only my word. That promise is the only evidence it will happen. And I may prove unreliable for one

ASTOR'S PROMISE
One stormy night an elderly couple entered the lobby of a small hotel and asked for a room. The clerk said they were full and they would probably find so were all the hotels in town. "But I can’t send a fine couple like you out in the rain. Would you be willing to sleep in my

Writer and speaker Lewis Smedes says:
Yes, somewhere people still make and keep promises.
They choose not to quit when the going gets rough because they promised once to see it through.
They stick to lost causes.
They hold on to a love grown cold.
They stay with people who have become pains in

THE EGG PROMISE
Two brothers were getting ready to boil some eggs. "I’ll give you a dollar if you let me break three of these on your head," said the older one.
"Promise?" asked the younger.
"Promise!"
Gleefully, the older boy broke two eggs over his brother’s head.
Standing stiff for fear

KEEPING PROMISES
It’s the story of a friendship forged during one of the worst battles of World War II, and a promise made almost 60 years ago, a promise that was finally kept Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001. HAROLD HUGGINS, a veteran of 10 major campaigns in World War II and the last survivor of his

God still gives us promises, and these promises are still geared to meet every specific individual need. In 1924, Dr. Leila McConnell, having just received a degree from Asbury College, felt God’s call to start a work for God in Eastern Kentucky. Fearing the reputation of “Bloody Breathitt”

How Many Promises in the Bible?
Dr. Everek R. Storms of Ontario spent a vast amount of time studying the promises of Scripture. Writing in Contact Magazine, he said:
“The Holy Scriptures contain a grand total of 8,810 promises. How do I know? I counted them. Dr. Storms goes on to classify the

THE PROMISE OF A FLAT-SCREEN
Reminds me of a 42-year-old woman from South Bend, Indiana. She called the police after being sold what she thought was a flat-screen TV.
She was approached by a man who offered her a great deal on the TV, a new flat-screen TV for only $500 dollars. She admitted it
