Earlier this month, President George W. Bush granted a pardon to I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, sparing him from a 2 ½ year prison term in a CIA leak case. Libby was the former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney. He was convicted in March of lying to authorities and obstructing the investigation into the identity leak of CIA operative Valerie Plame.
