Lay Aside
Contributed by Wade Martin Hughes, Sr on Apr 17, 2026 (message contributor)
Psalm 107:20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
When I was in high school our basketball coach noticed his best player was a little bit lazy. The coach made this player wear 10 pound weights on each foot. All week long this player carried the extra weight each step he took. At practice coach made him wear the extra weight, 20 pounds was heavy? As the team dressed out coach had the player take off the weights for the game. The extra weight strengthened his muscles. He jumped higher. He had more rebounds. He scored more points. My friend, we are in a spiritual battle. This battle is far more than trophies --- THIS BATTLE IS FOR ETERNAL VALUES. Take off the weights.
