These days on the pulpits, there are lot of fancy unnecessary words, self- boasting, manipulation, putting down people and misuse of words. The preachers speak lot of words in vain. They do not speak with reverence or fear of God.

A preacher who knows or encounters God will rightly use his words. He will be very careful with his words and will not speak words in vain. He will always know that he is responsible for every word spoken. He will always live in fear (terror), knowing that one day he will appear before God on Judgement Day and be held accountable for every word he says. That is why many saints in the Bible spoke few words, even their prophesies and warnings were crisp and to the point.

We can know how much a preacher knows and encounters God by the usage of His words. We can know if a preacher has been trained by the Lord by how well(rightly) he uses his words and his reverence for God. His life would be characterized by a deep fear of God. How many preachers preach with such fear and reverence, knowing that they will be held accountable on the Judgement Day for every word they speak? What we need in this generation is - Repentance for speaking vain words (without fear of God) from the pulpit.
