[119]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM – HE GAVE HIS ALL FOR ME
I wrote this short poem at a time when I heard a News report on the radio. I include that report underneath -
[[A Saudi-Arabian woman loved her husband so much that she donated one of her eyes so that he could see. The operation was a success, but in only a short time he rejected his wife for another woman and divorced his wife.
Why? Because, he said, he could not stand the sight of her without her eye!]]
When we see the Saviour, the scars and wounds He has, are the love marks for us. How we love Him who endured the cross for us. He gave everything for us who were vile sinners. {{John 20:27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach here your finger, and see My hands, and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and be not unbelieving, but believing.”}}
What do we do in return? In this world, they turn around and reject the Lord, despising Him because they don’t care less about the scars on His body inflicted by hateful, wicked men. Man’s selfishness and his wickedness will land him separated eternally from God.
{{1 Timothy 2:5-6 “There is one God and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus WHO GAVE HIMSELF as a ransom for all, the testimony borne at the proper time.”}}
This poem was written with just 2 stanzas, but 6 weeks later I expanded on it in a poem called, His Hands, His Feet, and His Brow”. This is the original poem and the expanded one comes later on.

HE GAVE HIS ALL FOR ME
Blessed wounds of the Saviour
In His hands, His feet and brow,
Speak to me of love's endurance.
And tell how much I love Him now.

Face and form were marred for me.
Bore my sins upon the tree.
E'en if His eyes He'd given for me,
I'd love Him for eternity.

Beautiful Scars
