God Provides But We Personally Must Take Actions!
Contributed by Paul Clemente on Nov 10, 2022 (message contributor)
Genesis 7
Was Noah righteous because he never sinned? - See Hebrews 11:7
What were God’s instructions to Noah?
Go into the ark, you and your whole family
Take in the ark animals (what were they?)
“Clean” animals
“unclean” animals
Birds
How many days did God give Noah to bring in the animals? – 7 days
How could Noah get all the animals and bird in that time frame? – God sent the animals to Noah!
What was promised to happen after seven days? – Rain for 40 days and nights!
Was there rain before that time? How do we know? – Rain was never mentioned before; we need to ask where all that rain came from and what happened to all that water in Genesis 1:2, also note v11
What was the purpose of the rain? – to judge all sinners, everything on the earth
What’s significant about Genesis 7:11? – Noah was already 600 years old when the ark was finished being built
What’s significant about v13? – Noah and his family willingly entered the ark!
What’s significant about v14-16? – all animals God desired to save (male and female) were in the ark and were capable of reproducing!
What biblical principles can we apply to our lives today from this passage? – God will judge sin but provide a way out for those He desires BUT those who will be saved must follow God’s instructions on their own!
