In their book Dangerous Intersections, Jay Dennis and Jim Henry write about a church in Phoenix that randomly chose 160 people from the phone book. Half of those names they had people in the church pray for daily; the other 80 names were just laid aside. At the end of 90 days of praying, the church called all those folks, asking if they would let someone from the church visit them to pray for them.

Among the list of people who were not prayed for, only one of the 80 people said yes.

Among the list of people prayed for for 90 days, 69 of the 80 said yes.

God’s power is unleashed through prayer.
