The Hallel, otherwise known as the Egyptian Hallel, is a section of the Psalter from Psalms 113–118. These Psalms are read and sung in synagogues on festive occasions. In ancient times, Jews recited these hymns on the three Pilgrim Festivals when they offered their required sacrifices in the Temple of Jerusalem. The freedom of captivity from Egypt and being led into the Promised Land is what the Christian life is all about. We have been freed from sin so that we could enjoy the fruits of God's grace in his Son. Use this sermon collection as a one-off or a mini-series through this section of praise!
