About Samuel
  • Education: Master Arts (M.A.), Master of Divinity (M.Div) & Doctor of Divinity (D.D)
  • Experience: 25 + Years
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Thank you for reading. My prayer is that every message points you to Jesus, strengthens your faith, and gives you hope. Please don’t only read—apply God’s Word, and let it transform your life. If one line helps you draw closer to Christ, then it is worth it.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: One sermon series that truly changed my life focused on Total Surrender to God’s Will. At a time when I was carrying heavy responsibilities in ministry and family life, this message spoke directly to my heart. It reminded me that God never called me to rely on my own strength, education, or experience, but to trust Him completely. Through this sermon, I learned to lay down my fears, plans, and expectations before the Lord. I realized that real victory in ministry comes through obedience, prayer, and humility, especially during seasons of struggle. This teaching helped me refocus my heart on God’s purpose rather than my own ambitions. As I applied this message in my daily life, my relationship with God grew deeper. My prayer life became stronger, and my passion to serve God’s people increased. Even today, this sermon continues to guide my decisions, preaching, and leadership, reminding me that when I surrender everything to God, He faithfully leads and provides.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: I love using the illustration of a seed. A seed looks small and ordinary, but when planted, watered, and cared for, it grows into something fruitful. In the same way, when God’s Word is planted in our hearts and we stay faithful, God produces spiritual growth and fruit in our lives.
  • Family: I am the founder pastor and chairman of Victory Church, serving the Lord faithfully since 1998. God has enabled me to complete a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Political Science, a Master of Divinity (M.Div.), and a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.), which have strengthened my calling in ministry and leadership. I am married, and my wife serves the Lord alongside me in ministry. We are blessed with two sons. Our elder son lives in the USA, works as a professional graphic designer, and volunteers in ministry with a Methodist Church. He holds a BS in Art & Graphic Design and a Diploma in Practical Ministry from Victory Bible School, Thailand. Our younger son is a YouTuber and vlogger and has completed his ACCA from the UK. By God’s grace, I continue
  • What my parents think of my sermons: My parents have always encouraged me to serve God with sincerity. They are happiest when they see that my preaching is not just words, but a life that reflects Christ—humility, prayer, and good character.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: My wife is my greatest supporter and also my most honest feedback. She encourages me, prays for me, and reminds me to keep my sermons simple, clear, and full of grace. If something needs improvement, she tells me kindly—but truthfully.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: “Preach from prayer, not pressure.” This advice taught me to depend on God, not on my own strength. When I pray first, the message becomes more than a sermon—it becomes a word from the Lord.
  • Books that have had an impact: The Bible — God’s Word has shaped my faith, preaching, and daily living. Spiritual leadership / discipleship books — These taught me how to lead with humility, prayer, and integrity. Christian biographies — Stories of faithful servants of God encouraged me to stay committed through challenges. Books on prayer — They helped me grow deeper in dependence on the Holy Spirit.
  • Hobbies: Book Reading
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: If I could preach one more time, I would say: Jesus is still the Savior. God is still faithful. The cross is still powerful. Repent, believe the Gospel, forgive others, stay faithful, and love people—because eternity is real, and Jesus is coming again.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: Once, while I was preaching passionately, a child in the front row suddenly said loudly, “Pastor, speak louder—my uncle is sleeping!” The whole church laughed, and even I had to pause and smile before continuing!
  • What I want on my tombstone: “Served Jesus faithfully. Preached the Gospel. Loved God’s people.”

The world today is filled with fear, pain, and uncertainty. Many people are searching for hope, but often in the wrong places. This sermon reminds us that true and lasting hope is found only through salvation in Jesus Christ, who is God’s gift to a broken world.

Introduction Hope is essential for life. Without hope, people lose peace, purpose, and direction. Sin has separated humanity from God, leaving many hearts broken and uncertain. But God, in His great love, has provided a way of hope through salvation in Jesus Christ. The Need for Hope Because of ...read more
