• One of my favorite illustrations: Preaching teacher said, "Your sermon title should make a stranger want to get off the Greyhound and come listen to your message." The student replied a suggestion: "There's a Bomb on the Bus."
• Family: Married with three children and two dogs.
• What my parents think of my sermons: Easy to related to our family.
• What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She wishes I would be more political.
• Best advice given to me about preaching: Start early. Listen in prayer to the hearts of a hurting world. Stay organized.

• If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Jesus loves you now and will be with you always.
• Something funny that happened while preaching: Unplanned trust fall on the first Sunday with a new congregation to model the shared trust in sharing the word together.
• What I want on my tombstone: Share Christ in Word and Deed: He Tried His Bless and Let God do the Rest.
