I. CAN WE UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HEALTHY AND UNHEALTHY?

1 Cor. 3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it,

neither yet now are ye able.

Hebrews 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach

you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have

need of milk, and not of strong meat.

A. Healthy:

Well, fit, trim, wholesome, nourishing

B. Unhealthy:

Not good, harmful, dangerous to life, sick, frail, unsound,

in poor condition...

C. WE CAN PLAY GAMES WITH THE SALT SHAKER, SUGAR, CIGARETTES,

THE GAMES COME TO A FINAL CONCLUSION...

II. CAN OUR LIFESTYLES AND CHOICES HAVE CONSEQUENCES 20 YEARS LATER?

Psalm 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

A. Seems 9 people can say something wonder about you...

and 1 persons can grunt toward you and YOU WILL POUT FOR DAYS?

B. SUSCEPTIBLE:

Sensitive, open, proned

Liable, Vulnerable

Allowing, admitting

C. VULNERABLE:

Easily wounded --- easy to harm

Exposed to damage

Criticism

III. JUST AS THE PHYSICAL BODY CAN BE AFFECTED/EFFECTED BY SICKNESSES AND

DISEASES --- THE INDIVIDUAL CAN HAVE A DISEASE OF THE PANCREAS, THE LUNGS,

THE BLOOD, THE EYES, THE GIZZARD...

Matthew 7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but

onsiderest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

[4] Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye;

and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? [5] Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam

out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of

thy brother's eye.

A. VISION--- HEALTHY VS UNHEALTHY...

THE EYES CAN:

1. NEAR SIGHTED ... MYOPIC ... Can not see objects in the distance...

2. FAR SIGHTED ... ABLE TO SEE CLEARLY ONLY AT A DISTANCE....

3. TUNNEL VISION ... The ability to see only in a narrow path in front of eyes...

B. VISION

1. IMAGINATION VISION... Phantom... MIRAGE

2. ROMANTIC VISION...

3. HIND SIGHT...

4. FORESIGHT...

C. PERCEPTION... JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS...

IV. CAN THE INDIVIDUAL OR CAN THE CHURCH HAVE A DISEASE, A SPIRITUAL DISEASE.

IT IS MUCH EASIER TO DIAGNOSE A PHYSICAL PROBLEM THAN A SPIRITUAL SICKNESS.

1 Peter 2:3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

A. IF...

THERE IS NO SPIRITUAL FAVOUR WHICH MAY NOT BE A RESULTS OF HEART-SEARCHING....

DIAGNOSE: Study the symptoms to determind or identify the disease..

B. Pain, a cough, a rash

C GROVERS DISEASE... Got pills, got a shot, SHINGLES?

Biopsy?

D. There was a church facing terrible problems. After prayer someone asked the pastor to check

the church's computers... one computer was infested by terrible PORNOGRAPHY.

It was the Pastor's computer. THE PROBLEM WAS EXPOSED...

V. WE NEED THE HOLY SPIRIT TO HELP US BE SENSITIVE TO BECOME DIAGNOSTICIANS,

HEALERS AND DELIVERS TO THE REAL PROBLEM...

PARANOIA IS UNHEALTHY PHYSICALLY OR SPIRITUALLY...

Proverbs 22:13 The slothful man saith, There is a lion without, I shall be slain

in the streets.

Proverbs 26:13 The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in

the streets.

A. WHAT IS PARANOIA?

Personality disorder CHARACTERIZED BY DELUSIONS OF PERSECUTIONS AND

SELF IMPORTANCE...

ABNORMAL TENDENCY TO SUSPECT AND MISTRUST OTHERS...

B. We must come to Jesus for healing for our spirit man...

VI. GOD HAS A PLAN FOR A HEALTHY CHURCH, LET US INVITE THE HOLY SPIRIT

TO HELP US BECOME DIAGNOOSTICANS AND HEALERS BY THE POWER IN HIS BLOOD...

A. WHERE THERE ARE PEOPLE THERE WILL BE PROBLEMS...

GOD HAS A PLAN...

Ephes. 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or

wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

B. Peace is a possession of the Lord's people...

Isaiah 32:18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and

in quiet resting places;

C. NO GROUND FOR TROUBLED HEARTS...
