FEW PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND THE GREAT MYSTERY OF THE POWER OF

THE TONGUE AND WORDS? PONDER WHY?

James 3:3 Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn

about their whole body. 4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are

driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the

governor listeth. 5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things.

Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity:

so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the

course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

How often have a taught the GREAT ABILITY OF LITTLE?

A good illustration comes from OCTOBER 8, 1871 IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.

Mrs. O'Leary was little lady that lived in a little area of Chicago.

Mrs. O'Leary had a little house and a little barn.

She had one little cow she milked every morning and every evening.

She drank some of the milk, but she sold a little for barter money.

Mrs. O'Leary got up and lit a little kerosene lamp and went to the little barn.

The little cow stepped up to eat a little corn and she started milking.

The little cow kicked over the little lamp and a fire started in a little hay.

The little fire when it was finished left 100,000 PEOPLE HOMELESS,

17,500 BUILDINGS BURNED TO THE GROUND, 300 PEOPLE DEAD,

$40,000,000 OF DAMAGE... all when a bunch of little got together.

The great mystery of the tongue speaks volumes.

LORD TEACH ME THE POWER OF WORDS RIGHTLY SPOKEN!

RICH IN WORRY IS ALMOST ALWAYS POOR IN SPIRIT!

Have you heard about the couple that had been married many years.

They were driving down the country road, she was leaning against the passenger side door.

WHEN WE WERE TRAVELING?

The husband said: HONEY, LOOK WHO MOVED? ME OR YOU?'

They drove passed several mules and donkeys standing in the field.

The husband looked over at his wife leaning on the door and said:

HONEY, LOOK IN THE FIELD, THERE ARE SEVERAL OF YOUR FAMILY STANDING

OVER THERE.

SHE REPLIED: I KNOW, I SAW THEM, THEY ARE MY FAMILY BY MARRIAGE.

HOW QUICK CAN A MOUTH GO FROM 0 TO 60?

James 1:19 (NLT) Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick

to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. 20 Human anger does not produce the

righteousness God desires.

There was a 10 year old girl. Her dad was a GAME WARDEN AT A WILD LIFE

resort in Africa. They lived in a beautiful home in the middle of the resort. The young

girl loved helping her Dad.

One day while on a trip the Dad found a dead tiger. There was a small baby tiger

trying to feed from the corpse of the mother. The baby was only a few pounds. The Game

Warden brought the bay tiger home until he could make arrangements for the baby.

His beautiful daughter begged her Dad, PLEASE, PLEASE LET ME KEEP THIS BABY

TIGER, I PROMISE TO TAKE CARE AND DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES.

So the dad agreed to allow his only child to keep the baby tiger for a few days.
