Summary: Anyone can be a father but it takes a special man to be a dad. God’s Word provides the blueprint for the ingrediants that can make mere men great dads!
Introduction
Several boys were competing for "Who’s Dad Was The Greatest." when one, a son of a physician said to the others, "My dad’s a doctor and I can be sick for nothing..."
Not to be out done, the youngest in the group said, "That’s nothing, my dad’s a preacher and I can be good for nothing!"
Let’s face it, to some kids we are their heroes!However, some who call themselves "dad" are nothing more than zeros. For you see, anyone can be a father but it takes a special man with a special heart to be a DAD.
God’s Word presents to us the right ingrediants if we were making a dad like some make a cake. Leave one of the ingrediants out and it isn’t long before one can tell the difference. Let’s examine what it takes to be a DAD!
