Summary: This is the fifth message in a series of seven that were preached at Wedesday night Prayer Meeting on Spiritual Gowth and Fitness.
Spiritual Growth and Fitness
Faith
Hebrews 11:1-6
There are three essential things for a person to grow up healthy. (We want to be healthy, don’t we?)
Food
Exercise
Rest
These must be kept in balance.
Vitamin –Faith, Hebrews 11:1-6
1. Saving Faith
-Galatians 3:11, Galatians 2:16
-Ephesians 2:8-9
2. Living Faith
-James 2:14-20
-Living faith is shown in our works.
3. Walking Faith
-2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
-To walk in faith means that we are trusting God for
everything in our lives.
-We live in faith following the Lord.
-Galatians 2:20
Exercise
1.Exercising your faith makes you strong.
2.How? – Live every day…all the time, trusting in the
Lord
a.Trust Him to direct you (Prov. 3:5-6)
b.Trust Him to provide for you.
c.Trust Him to watch over you.
2.Walk by faith.
Rest
-When your faith is in the Lord, you can rest and just let Him take care of it all.
