The Children Of Leah.
Revelation 5:1-5TPT
Who are the children of Leah? Who is Leah? She was one of the matriarchs of Israel. -Leah was married to Jacob.
However, Jacob loved Rachel. In the meanwhile, Laban, Jacobs future Father-In-Law changes Jacobs wages 10 times. Always to Jacobs detriment.
Over and over again Laban tricked Jacob deceiving him, manipulating him, not for days or weeks or months, but for years, Jacob was manipulated by his father-in-law, Laban.
Genesis 29 through chapter 31, gives us the account of Jacob working for Laban. Jacob worked 14 years to marry Rachel!
“O but what about Leah?” Leah is married to Jacob, but she’s unwanted and unloved! Tolerated not celebrated. Mounds of hurt mounds of frustration and jealousy. Jacob married to Leah, only for Jacob to love Rachel.
Isaiah 53:3-5NLT He was despised and rejected—a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. 4 Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! 5 But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins.
Noticed through out Isaiah 53, Our responds, but then His responds.
We thought it was God’s punishment.
We despised, and rejected Him.
We turned our backs, looked the other way.
Take note, He was despised and rejected—a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. He did it for our weakness’. Our sorrows. But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins.
In Revelation 4-5, After John addresses, the seven churches of Asia, Moreover, all 7 churches can be a compared to the 21st-century church.
Revelation 5, John was in the spirit on the Lords day, and he saw angels worshiping the Most High King. -King Jesus.
In Revelation chapter 5, the question is ask, “Is anyone worthy to open the seals and see the end from the beginning. -Is there anyone who save, rescue and deliver?
Revelation 5:1-5 “And I saw that the one seated on the throne was holding in his right hand an unopened scroll with writing on the inside and on the outside, and it was sealed with seven seals. 2 Then I saw an incredibly powerful angel proclaiming with a great, loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and able to break its seven seals?” 3 But no person could be found, living or dead, in all of creation —no one was worthy to open the scroll and read its contents. 4 So I broke down weeping with intense sorrow, because there was found no one worthy to break open the scroll and read its contents. 5 Then one of the elders said to me, “Stop weeping. Look! The mighty Lion of Judah’s tribe, the root of David—he has conquered! He is the worthy one who can open the scroll and its seven seals.””
Notice verse 5b again, ….The mighty Lion of Judah’s tribe, the root of David—he has conquered!….
Where did this Lion of Judah come from? How about the Root of David? -How about those names? What is it with those names?
Again, what about Leah? Poor Leah. Unloved, unwanted, and a participate in a love triangle, the dangerous kind. Leah was the scorn. Yes, Leah had the unhappy distinction of being unloved. -And she knew it.
It was a deep wound. She always carried, the unceasing sorrow of her life. -We have no idea how many tears Leah cried because of it, but undoubtably they were many.
But then something happened… Leah became fruitful, even more fruitful than Rachel.
Genesis 29:31-35NLT When the Lord saw that Leah was unloved, he enabled her to have children, but Rachel could not conceive. 32 So Leah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Reuben, for she said, “The Lord has noticed my misery, and now my husband will love me.” 33 She soon became pregnant again and gave birth to another son. She named him Simeon, for she said, “The Lord heard that I was unloved and has given me another son.” 34 Then she became pregnant a third time and gave birth to another son. He was named Levi, for she said, “Surely this time my husband will feel affection for me, since I have given him three sons!” 35 Once again Leah became pregnant and gave birth to another son. She named him Judah, for she said, “Now I will praise the Lord!” And then she stopped having children.”
What’s up with this Leah? Her season has changed. In spite of being unloved, second best, God made Leah fruitful! Leah is more fruitful than Rachel.
Hear this, This unloved Leah bore her third son, she named him Levi. From Levi came the priesthood of Israel, and from Levi was born Moses. Through Moses came the Passover, the Exodus, the 10 Commandments, the law, the sacrifices, the holy days, and the Tabernacle… The priesthood, the high priest, and the Temple.
