DO WE HAVE A BLACK HOLE WHERE ARE HEARTS SHOULD BE?

ARE WE SPIRITUALLY EMPTY BECAUSE WE ARE SO FULL OF THE WORLD’S STUFF?

Can we define our REAL PURPOSE? What do we really value? Are we IDLE!

THROW ALL THE EMPTY BUCKETS YOU SO DESIRE DOWN IN THE WELL, BUT IF THE WELL IS EMPTY, AFTER ALL YOUR EFFORTS TO DRAW FROM THE EMPTY WELL WILL STILL LEAVE YOU with an EMPTY…DRY WELLS AND BROKEN CISTERNS.

THE BLACK HOLE OF A BROKEN CISTERN…

Jeremiah 2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

Jeremiah 2:13 (MSG) "My people have committed a compound sin: they've walked out on me, the fountain Of fresh flowing waters, and then dug cisterns— cisterns that leak, cisterns that are no better than sieves.

DID YOU KNOW IN THE BIBLE EMPTY CISTERNS WERE OFTEN USED AS PRISONS…???

FEW WILL BE HONEST ENOUGH TO SHARE WITH YOU THAT WE LIVE IN A FADING WORLD --- NOT A FILLING WORLD… Everything I know is draining… The sharp things get dull. Hot things cool. Cold things get lukewarm.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Matthew 6:33 (MSG) Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. 34 "Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.

HAVE YOU EVER NOTICED HOW EASY IT IS TO KNOW YOU HAVE A BLACK HOLE IN YOUR HEART AND FILL IT WITH GARBAGE AND JUNK?

Romans 1:22 (NLT) Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. 23 And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles. 24 So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. 25 They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.

It appears that every Individual has a HOLE IN THEIR HEART. We try to FILL THAT EMPTY HOLE with many things.

We know many have a CO-DEPENDENT HOLE where they think they can never be happy unless they have something or someone to fill their hole in their heart.

THE LOTTERY UNDERSTANDS THE HOLE IN THE HEART THEORY… as people think I COULD BE HAPPY IF I HAD A BILLION DOLLARS? So they SELL the little they have for the HOPE OF FILLING THEIR HEART’S HOLE with money.

Others search to fill empty hearts with relationships. They look for a person that can love them and give them that filling for their hole of emptiness. Broken hearts, divorce, pornography, affairs. Today many search on the computer. Have you ever seen an old lady falls in love with a man on the computer and sends them multiple thousands of dollars and cars, just to find they have made the hole even emptier?

How many people have a big hole in their heart turn to FOOD? Several years ago tobacco was the #1 public enemy. Today OBESITY IS THE #1 HEALTH ENEMY. Be honest people are addicted to sugar and fast foods. Obesity means the more we eat the more we desire? Then we run across the term MORBID OBESITY. We are short of breath, our knees and backs, diabetes, feet issues, heart issues. So we recognize the eating hole and what do we do? We spend millions on diet foods, diet pills, weight lose gimmicks… when we are filling the holes in our hearts with food?

We try to fill the holes with entertainment. Watch the people today, sports has become a god. People screaming on the sidelines that should be active doing something. We have the Super bowl, World Series, and many other things. I heard a national preacher say one of the biggest enemies of the church today is TRAVEL TEAMS, that that take good families out of the church 13 weekends a year. What about the movies, TV, computer addiction. Entertainment addictions put pleasure before God?
