TAKE HEART! TAKE COURAGE
By Wade Martin Hughes, Sr Kyfingers@aol.com
I. WE ARE GOING TO ALWAYS WALK IN DEFEAT IF OUR OUT GOING IS MORE THAN OUR INCOMING!
A. YOU CAN NOT ARISE IN PUBLIC BEYOND WHAT YOU ARE IN PRIVATE.
Matthew 6:6 But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father secretly. Then your Father, who knows all secrets, will reward you.
B. FAINTING IS AN EXTERNAL PROBLEM MANIFESTED BY AN INTERNAL PROBLEM.
Proverbs 24:10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
II. IT IS HIGH TIME TO ARISE AND TAKE WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY OURS!
Romans 13:11 Another reason for right living is that you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for the coming of our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.
KJV
Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
A. TAKE HEART: TO GAIN COURAGE, CONFIDENCE AND CONTROL!
B. We must TAKE HOLD of the Word of God and release the work of God.
May God’s word take effect in our heart and spirit.
C. Are we going to TAKE THIS ON THE CHIN?
This situation does not have to bring the results of the negative report.
We don’t have to accept the report of the negative spies.
D. TAKE NOTICE church and our enemy, we have a Divine Destiny, and we shall reach forward.
E. Faith shall TAKE ROOT and be established and fixed in our hearts and words.
F. We shall TAKE THE CAKE! The prize belongs to us.
G. We will not TAKE THE COUNT, and go down in defeat!
I. Holy Spirit TAKE US TO TASK, and hold us accountable for our shortcomings.
III. SOMETIMES GOD’S PROMISE SEEMS SO EASY. BUT SOMETIMES WE MUST ARISE AND TAKE WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY OURS.
A. We have an expression --- TAKE THE BACK SEAT.
B. ROSA PARKS SHOWED THE WORLD SHE DIDN’T HAVE TO TAKE THE BACK SEAT!
C. God’s people need not accept a secondary position or status.
IV. SHALL WE GOD’S PEOPLE TAKE CHARGE AND ASSUME THE CUSTODY, COMMAND, AND CONTROL?
KJV
Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
NIV
Matthew 11:12 From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.

V. ASA (AY- suh) LEARNED A LESSON WE MUST TAKE COURAGE.
A. THE PREACHER’S NAME WAS AZARIAH. (AZ--uh--RIGH-ah),
the nation was backslidden.
B. Several different versions of the Word says the Preacher, Azariah was shouting, yelling, or talking with force to get Asa’s (AY-suh) attention.
2 Chron. 15:2 And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
2 Chron. 15:7 And now, you men of Judah, be strong and courageous, for your work will be rewarded."
8 And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken
from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord.
C. BECAUSE ASA TOOK COURAGE AND LISTENED TO AZARIAH THEY HAD GREAT PEACE AND VICTORY
2 Chron. 15:12 And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;
13 That whosoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
15 And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the Lord gave them rest round about.
VI. PAUL TOOK COURAGE, AND HIS TESTIMONY MADE OTHERS TAKE COURAGE.
