This vision is about Zechariah’s nation as God’s chosen people. It also appears to operate like an allegory in the sense that like the nation of Israel, Zechariah represents Israel as a high priest with filthy rag righteousness,. We too, as individuals in every age stand guilty as charged.

Builders Of The Temple

We read of Zerubbabel being the master carpenter over the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem. He did physically build a temple, however, the scripture alludes to one being named, ‘The Branch’, to build the temple, and, ‘they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the Lord.’

God tells us He will protect, guide and keep watch over us for His eternal purpose. In our scripture this morning, we will witness this Spiritual behavior.
