Who are we in Christ? This message today is for those “in Christ,” who know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Last week we considered that as a "New Creation in Christ," we are His workmanship (Epheisans 2:10), His work of art, His masterpiece. As his workmanship, as His masterpiece -what good ...read more

  • Are We Surrendered?

Contributed by Caleb Sowers on May 9, 2019

From 1908 to 2018, the Church of the Nazarene grew from 10,000 members to 2.5 million. They surrendered. They heard the call, the Great Commission given to every Christian, and they submitted. I think this is the problem that Christianity in general is facing today. Christians stopped surrendering.

The Church Manual states that “The Church of the Nazarene recognizes all believers are called to minister to all people.” I love that statement. I love it because it really sums up how the Church of the Nazarene from its earliest days really felt the burden of the Great Commission and from the ...read more

In the Bible “church” is by definition either all of the disciples of Jesus Christ or a specific group of believers. In 1 Timothy chapter 5, The Apostle Paul describes the church as people dedicated to doing whatever it takes to reach out and help others

Often something old, draughty, with uncomfortable wooden pews and a smell of damp. I have spoken to people in Ashingdon and Rayleigh who did not ...read more

After the tragedy in Orlando, there were Christians whose response was anything but loving. The Bible is clear: God wants the wicked, those living in sin, to repent and live. That should be the heartbeat of every Christian.
