As we look at the genres of the Psalms we find the Thanksgiving Psalms. Thanksgiving Psalms always talk about a difficult situation which has been fixed. We might want to think of Thanksgiving Psalms as our response when God helps us out of trouble.

We got through trials sometimes. Jesus said that we will have troubles in this life but that we should take heart because he has overcome the world. This was preached at a military chapel but it could easily be preached in a civilian church.
