Sins committed with good intentions were also punished by God. Wrong actions cannot be sanctified by good intentions. If we are careful to obey the Lord, we will have the peace and joy of the Lord in our hearts and the Lord will be with us amidst all our difficulties.

The Israelites grumble again against God. Moses responds to their grumbling with anger and loses the privilege of entering the Promised Land. Moses responded with anger and disrespected God. We can learn a few things form an angry man who lashed out against the Creator.

A truly amazing story in the OT is the promise that God made to Abram and Sarai that involved them having a son. Sarai unable to have children. The Promise was unexpected! As time went by, both of them passed the age of childbearing and there was a lot of mystery around God’s promise.
