God didn’t give us his laws just to be obeyed (to show us he’s boss). God gave us his laws for our benefit.

After Jesus healed the 10 lepers they went away and only one came back to thank Jesus for the healing. Jesus said, “Where are the 9?” 10 people experienced a miracle and only one came back to give thanks.
