Summary: Indeed we must “forget not all His benefits” (Psalm 103:2) but as we thank Him for all these blessings, let us not forget to thank Him for Himself.
THANKFUL FOR OUR GREAT GOD
“Now therefore, our God, we thank Thee and praise Thy glorious Name.”
I Chronicles 29:13. (NASB)
Indeed we must “forget not all His benefits” (Psalm 103:2) but as we thank Him for all these blessings, let us not forget to thank Him for Himself.
THANKFUL FOR GOD THE HEAVENLY FATHER

“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.” Lamentations 3:22. (NKJV)
“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!” 1 John 3:1 (NKJV)
2. Thankful for His forgiveness
“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteousness man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.” Isaiah 55:7 (NKJV)
“For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.” Psalms 103:11-12 (NKJV)
3. Thankful for His benevolence and protection
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of Lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” James 1:17 (NKJV)
"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.” Isaiah 43:1-2 (NKJV)
THANKFUL FOR GOD THE SON
1. Thankful for His condescension and His earthly ministry
“…but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.” Philippians 2:7 (NASB)
“And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people” Matthew 4:23 (NKJV)
2. Thankful for His redemptive death
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” Ephesians 1:7 (NKJV)
“…knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” 1 Peter 1:18-19 (NKJV)
3. Thankful for His intercession and the promise of His return
“Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” Hebrews 7:25
“I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:2-3 (NKJV)
THANKFUL FOR GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
1. Thankful for His convicting power that made known our need of salvation
"And when He [the Holy Spirit] has come; He will convict the world of sin… of sin, because they do not believe in Me.” John 16:8-9 (NKJV)
2. Thankful for His indwelling power and ministry in our lives

“…He will guide you into all truth…” John 16:13 (NKJV)
3. Thankful for His power upon us, empowering us for service.
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8. (NKJV)
“If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.” 1 Peter 4:14 (NKJV)
LET US THEN BE…
Thankful for the Father; thankful for the Son; thankful for the Spirit; blessed Three in One. Amen.
