Pentecost (B). Jewish Pentecost celebrated the giving of the law on Sinai, the God choosing Israel as His people. In the Pentecost of the Church we are assured that we too are chosen by God and live in His kingdom.

I have come to this conclusion: People do not need a “hand out” . What they really need is a “hand up” So many people would be content to be carried around in their affliction rather than walk on their own two feet. The Worst part is many Christian’s are content to keep carrying them.
