A Tale Of Two Kings

In the story of the birth of Jesus, we encounter the clash of two kings, both called the King of the Jews. In Jesus and Herod we find two opposite ways to live, and come to understand the real meaning of life. Hopefully all of us will choose to follow King Jesus rather than King Herod.

Once Christmas is over, we usually pack up our decorations, lights, ribbon, dishes, Christmas tree, etc., and carry them to the attic for storage until next year. In other words, we put Christmas away. This isn't God's will; we should live it all year round!

Introduction The purpose of the star was to authenticate and publicize the incarnation and to draw men to worship the celestial King. Varied speculations about the star’s appearance and searches for a mechanistic explanation violate the very purpose of the gospel narrative.
