The fact that Paul first made an unscheduled visit and then cancelled his second scheduled visit to Corinth gave his opponents another reason to criticize him. He had not carried out his promise.

In this passage, some people questioned Paul's honesty and integrity. He assured them that the message he preached was true, and that God is forever faithful. Paul said, “All the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen.”
