    based on 1 rating

For the Christian, will our sins "be shown on a big screen for everyone to see"? I argue that while we are forgiven and saved by grace, our sins will be brought up at the Bema Judgment because they impact our fruitfulness.

The Big Screen Question: Will what a Christian has done (including their sins) be judged publicly on a big screen? - John MacArthur says no. He says that our sins will not be mentioned at all. I disagree. - The issue, of course, is not the big screen, but rather whether in the process of being ...read more

Contributed by Jim Butcher on Mar 5, 2013
     | 2,415 views

A look at the danger that comes with claiming that our conscience is the ultimate arbiter of right and wrong. We have traded blush on our cheeks for a shrug of our shoulders.

GETTING RID OF SHAME: We frequently trade blushing for shrugging. - Jeremiah 8:12. - This is such a rich phrase here in verse 12 – they don’t even know how to blush. - Sometimes we act like the heart and conscience will always be a reliable artiber of what’s right and wrong, ...read more

Contributed by Darrell Ferguson on Dec 22, 2024
     | 178 views

Our calling was to follow Jesus, and His steps lead through undeserved suffering. Abuse is not a glitch in God’s plan that ruins your life. It is your calling.

1 Peter 2:18 Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh. 19 For it is commendable if a man bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because he is conscious of God. 20 But how is it to your credit if ...read more

There is hope for the children of believers, if they will but put their trust in God.

GRACE IN THE WILDERNESS. Jeremiah 32. The LORD speaks of Israel's time after her deliverance from Egypt as a “time of espousals,” when she was “holiness to the LORD” (Jeremiah 2:2-3). This may seem a little surprising, since we know that the forty years wandering in the wilderness were a ...read more

We should plead our cases before the Kingdom Court, knowing we have an Advocate (Jesus) to aid in our defense against the accusations of the prosecutor (Satan). Based on the "Dangerous Prayers" book by Francis Myles.

Tonight, we are going to view a fresh perspective on prayer from Dr. Franics Myles in his book on “dangerous prayers.”(1) Now, I have taken some time to wade through his book and weed out the muck. Let me get started by saying that I have heard it said, “Prayer is a walkie-talkie for warfare, not ...read more
