THE NATURE OF ‘ANGEL FOOD’. 1 Kings 19:4-8. An angel awoke Elijah, providing sustenance and instructing him to eat. Elijah ate, and then lay down again. The LORD knew that the onward journey to the mountain of God would otherwise be too much for him, so the angel again fed him. “Elijah was able ...read more

    based on 12 ratings

Why did Jesus send his disciples around after everyone was full to gather up the fragments that remained? It is interesting that we are not told what Jesus had done with the leftover fragments.

TITLE: LEFTOVERS SCRIPTURE: ST. JOHN 6:5-14 What an exciting passage of Scripture that should stir us every time we read it. It has always interest me that this particular Miracle is one of a select few recorded in all four Gospel Narratives. It therefore has significance in its teaching to us ...read more

Halloween is over and it is time for Christmas. If you do not believe me, go into your local Wal-Mart. • Is Jesus Enough?

Contributed by Ken Pell on Nov 21, 2013

I use a series of movements to weave the story of Charles Colson's conversion into the story of the crowd following Jesus looking for that which lasts. I seek to show how the "Bread of Life" is the solution for the longings of humankind.

IS JESUS ENOUGH? JOHN 6:1-71 Read verses 1-15 Read verses 25-35 Read verses 60-69 "CHUCK 01" He was commonly referred to as Chuck. John 6:12 Let us read the Word of God together in Jesus' name! How much did you pay to God for giving you the air that you breathe today? Often we feel like our resources are inadequate. "There's no way God can use me." But we find that God delights to use weak things because it redirects people to Him. Little is much when God is in it.

Contributed by Tim Smith on Feb 7, 2016

Our Scripture today is the only miracle of Jesus that appears in all four Gospels. It was thus the most significant miracle in the early church: you’re never too young to be a hero
