Two Kinds Of Wisdom

Two kinds of wisdom are set before us in the Book of James - a “wisdom” in quote marks that is not wisdom at all but “earthly, unspiritual, and demonic" and true wisdom which comes from God and is first of all peaceable.

Only perfect performance could win divine approval under the Law, but since that was not achievable the Law could only condemn a person (James 2.10) and cause him to cast himself on God in faith.
