Paul and his friends could not win an argument against Stephen. In the end, Paul had an epiphany which lies in the understanding that God's love extends not only to Stephen and those he once persecuted but encompasses everyone, including himself.

When the volunteer workload is placed on just a handful of people, these individuals get burnt out; and since they can’t do everything, then a lot of needs go unmet. It is biblical to appoint deacons and train ministry volunteers to assist.
