The tribe of Judah ("praise") always led the people of God into battle, etc. We look at Judah's mother to see how "praise" was conceived. Then we look at the 5 sons of Praise (Judah) and see the amazing offspring we will get when we praise God!

Joseph was separated from his family at the age of 17 not because of war, but because of the wicked jealousy of his own brothers. In their jealousy they sold Joseph into slavery and presented his ornamented coat to their father. God used this for his purposes.

Forgiveness Is A Choice

Joseph had to choose to forgive his brothers. He saw God's sovereignty in the betrayal, he saw the same nature was in him and he tested their hearts with his brother. He forgave and never brought up the subject again.
