What is it with angels? They turn up all through the Bible with multiple wingsets, (not just two wings like you see in the pictures), with the Ark of the Covenant, with Jesus after His temptation, in Revelation praising God with voices like thunder.

Genesis 6 - Angels, Demons, Giants, Vampires, Aliens and Your Marriage! Every woman wants to marry an angel, but... Have you ever seen an angel? I have. At the foot of our bed. Wasn’t on drugs. Wasn’t a dream. Wasn’t sick or hallucinating. Sure it was an angel. Such peace. Such a sense of God’s ...read more

The movies "Twilight" and "New Moon", not to mention the Harry Potter series, have captured the minds of this generation of young people. We have tried to sanitise demons by putting them in love stories.

Genesis 6:1-5 speaks of giants. But where they demonic, angelic beings of giant size?   1. My child towers above me, and what are those things growing out of his back? I have read some farfetched renderings of Genesis 6:4 which range from the "sons of God" being angels to them being "aliens". The Nephilim mentioned in this verse, receive the same kind of treatment.

Genesis 6 - Part 3 1. My husband is out of this world. I have read some fairly farfetched renderings of Genesis 6:4 which range from the "sons of God" being angels to them being "aliens". The Nephilim mentioned in this verse, receive the same kind of treatment. I come up with some crazy ideas ...read more

    based on 18 ratings

What’s the big deal with marrying unbelievers? Well, don’t be too quick in thinking it is not a big deal! The Bible addresses the idea of separation of believers all the way through. Genesis 6 seems to introduce the topic.

Genesis 6 - Part 4 - What’s so bad about believers marrying unbelievers? In this passage we see mutations such as giantism. We see great evil on the face of the earth. Perhaps these big guys were even worshiped as gods (I think we have established that they weren’t aliens earlier on). I suggested ...read more

Contributed by Ross Cochrane on Dec 18, 2009

The name Methuselah means "When he dies, judgment". It’s a prophetic name. Methusaleh was the oldest man who ever lived indicating that God held off judgment till the last minute. This speaks to me of God’s grace.

Genesis 6 - Part 5 - If you’re looking for a good name for your newborn, what about a name like "When he dies, judgment!"? Did you notice in Genesis 6:3 that it says "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty ...read more

Does God make mistakes that He regrets? I mean He’s God, right? He is supposed to be perfect. If He’s emotional then doesn’t that indicate weakness? And if he changes His mind all the time, where does that leave me?

Genesis 6 - Part 6 - Does God make mistakes? I mean, He’s God, right? I’ve done some pretty stupid things in my life that I have regretted. What about you? We all make mistakes. Some more serious than others. People in Noah’s day, however, couldn’t have cared less about their sin. They were ...read more
