We have artificial sweeteners, ingredients, body parts, grass, flowers, light, etc... if there is something natural than most likely you will find some form of an artificial facsimile of it. If man can somehow make a mold of it and reproduce it, you will find it sitting on a shelf somewhere.

Pharaoh chose the condition of his heart. He hardened his heart. God fixed it in the position Pharaoh chose. when someone intentionally and persistently hardens their own heart, like Pharaoh it becomes permanently fixed. The New Testament speaks of casting pearls before swine.

The Israelites were enslaved people in Egypt - valuable enslaved people that Pharaoh did not want to let go. Moses had the additional burden of being wanted for murder.
