Contributed by Glenn Pease on Mar 6, 2021
    based on 1 rating

Jesus was our Savior on the cross, but He was also our Judge, and He pardoned us for all of our unknown sins of omission that we can never confess. His forgiveness was universal and comprehensive.

If God did not pardon the guilty there would be no Gospel, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Even so, we feel there is a danger in being too merciful. Abraham Lincoln was accused of this during the Civil War when he seemed willing to pardon just about anyone. He would ...read more

The false prophets dance around the cost of discipleship, but dancing slippers don’t suit the hard road that leads to the narrow gate, and the wolves never warn their people that they need hiking boots instead

Contributed by John Lowe on Jul 22, 2022

This Plague came from the land, as the two former came from the river. Aaron "smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice (“Kinnim”) in man, and in beast"(ver. 17). This was a new blow at Egyptian idolatry because the earth was worshipped as well as the river.

The Dust is Turned to Lice (Exodus 8:16-19) Exodus 8:16-19 (NIV) Then the LORD said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Stretch out your staff and strike the dust of the ground,’ and throughout the land of Egypt, the dust will become gnats.” They did this, and when Aaron stretched out his hand with the staff ...read more

    based on 1 rating

The biblical Deborah could have rightly called herself—judge, prophetess, warrior, minstrel, or faithful follower of God—she chose to call herself a mother.

The Biblical Deborah Deborah's biblical story is one of the few which featured female abilities and leadership. It is a wonderful example of how God can use any person who wants to be His servant. In fact, He even used people like Jonah who resist God at every turn, and John who argued with the ...read more

Contributed by Glenn Pease on Mar 13, 2021
     | 1,905 views

The issue is not whether divorce is good or bad, for everyone agrees it is a bad thing to happen. It is never the best, and it always indicates failure on the part of two people.

Divorce, like death, is an unpleasant reality that we have to deal with because it won't ignore us. In one way or another it forces its way into our lives. If we are fortunate enough to have no friends, neighbors, or loved ones caught in its grasp, we must still face the issue because it is a ...read more

  • Everything Minus Love Equals Nothing Series

Contributed by Glenn Pease on Mar 17, 2021
     | 3,056 views

In this great love chapter Paul makes it clear that love is the supreme gift. All of the human relation problems in the world are caused by a lack of love, and only love can lift us above the hatreds in the hearts of mankind.

Where love is absent hate will reign. This is true in every area of life for individuals and groups of all kinds. We are grateful for those who give their lives to protect us from enemy forces, but we cannot thank God that their sacrifice was necessary, for we would not have needed such ...read more

  • Guilty But Pardoned Series

Contributed by Glenn Pease on Mar 26, 2021

I cannot give away what I do not have, and so we must first be forgiven in order to forgive. We must believe in God's free grace of forgiveness before we can be free to forgive those who sin against us.

If God did not pardon the guilty there would be no Gospel, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Even so, we feel there is a danger in being too merciful. Abraham Lincoln was accused of this during the Civil War when he seemed willing to pardon just about anyone. He would defend ...read more
