Encourage others by continually praying for them, supporting, and thanking them for the good work they are doing in God’s kingdom, building each other up in the faith, and by comforting them with the same comfort we have received from Christ!

Encouragement Online Sermon: http://www.mckeesfamily.com/?page_id=3567 The Concise Oxford English Dictionary defines encouragement as “to give support, help or stimulate the development of confidence or hope in another person.” Living in a fallen world where chance happens to everyone ...read more

  • Shrewd As Serpents Series

Contributed by D. Dewaine Phillips on Mar 28, 2022
    based on 1 rating

“Be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves” (Mt. 10:16). This verse is not advocating hypocrisy. We are not to employ the methods of the ungodly, but we should posses a similar creative capacity. We need to be clever in our dealings.

In Matthew 10:16, Jesus advised us to “be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves.” Was Jesus telling believers to be two-faced hypocrites? Was He saying we need to be unjust in our daily activities and dealings, and then turn right around and act like model Christians on Sunday? No. Jesus was ...read more

  • He Taught Them Many Parables… (The Parable Of The Lost Sheep And The Lost Coin) # 10

Contributed by Dr. Odell Belger on Apr 14, 2022
     | 2,513 views

This parable is special, because it tells us a great deal about God the Father’s great love for mankind.

Now we mortals love certain people, but if there are things in their life that we do not like, we generally brush them aside. We all can be thankful indeed that God the Father loves everyone, He even loves the most ungodly sinner on the face of the earth. He does not love their evil deeds, but He ...read more

Thanksgiving Holiday: "In latter times some will depart from the faith . . . commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving" (1 Timothy 4:1-2). We must be thankful for everything God has provided!

I’ve entitled our message for this morning “Just Be Thankful.” If I were to subtitle this sermon, it would be “Learning Contentment in Tofurkey Times.” Right now you’re probably thinking I’m crazy, or perhaps you’re stumped wondering what tofurkey is! Hang on, and a little later in the message I ...read more

  • The Baptism Of John Series

Re-baptism is a practice of some Baptist churches. This message looks at re-baptism in the New Testament, and discusses how when a person’s baptism is done under the wrong belief system, then the individual needs to be re-baptized.

I have entitled our message this morning, “The Baptism of John.” We have recently been learning about baptism, and today, I am going to be discussing false baptisms; and the best way to present this message is by looking at what the New Testament refers to as “the baptism of John.” This was a ...read more

  • How We Quench The Spirit

Contributed by D. Dewaine Phillips on Feb 18, 2022
    based on 1 rating

God wants the fire of the Holy Spirit to burn within us. However, tragically, once the fire of the Spirit is ignited, we often grab a fire extinguisher and douse the flame. This message looks at why and how this tragic occurrence happens.

There was once a small, quiet town in which fires began to pop up on a frequent basis. It wasn’t long until people discovered that the source of these fires was a pyromaniac. It was actually the Fire Chief himself! This fellow “would secretly start the fires and then work to extinguish them . . ...read more

  • The Echelon Principle

Contributed by D. Dewaine Phillips on Feb 26, 2022
    based on 2 ratings

If the body of Christ is to function properly, we can’t just have a few members doing all the ministry by themselves, while the rest of the people watch the show. Jethro told Moses he needed to appoint others to help him.

Our message for this evening is entitled “The Echelon Principle.” I am not going to tell you what an echelon is just yet; however, some of you might already know. I will tell you that it has something to do with playing on the same team, and striving together toward a common goal and purpose. ...read more

  • Harnessing Your Passion

Contributed by D. Dewaine Phillips on Mar 2, 2022
    based on 1 rating

Some people misuse their passion in a way that is harmful to others and the kingdom. This sermon asks: “What is passion?” “Is anyone here passionate?” “Why should we harness passion?” and “What should we be passionate about?”

This evening’s message is entitled “Harnessing Your Passion.” “Harness” means “to tie together,” and “to yoke.”(1) You know what a yoke is, right? It is “a wooden bar or frame by which two . . . oxen are joined at the heads or necks for working together,” but it is also “the control device for ...read more

  • Do Not Say, "I Am A Youth!”

Contributed by D. Dewaine Phillips on Mar 15, 2022
    based on 1 rating

This message looks at a teenager who was called by God. Jeremiah was like any other youth; no different than teenagers today. But the Lord was able to use him in an amazing way! God wants even those who are young to serve Him.

I would like to begin our message with a short account concerning a great evangelist in recent church history. “Dwight L. Moody was once asked, ‘How many converts did you have last night?’ Moody answered, ‘Two and one half.’ The other person said, ‘Two adults and a child?’ ‘No,’ Moody replied. ...read more

Words have the power to evoke great emotions and passions in our lives. When Jesus said, I am the way, truth, and life no one comes unto the Father except by Me, what do these words mean to you? Are you born again, or have you rejected your only way into heaven?

Amos 6:1-14 shows us the perversions and punishment of people who profess to belong to God.

Introduction The title of this sermon is “At Ease in Zion.” It comes from Amos 6:1a, which states, “Woe to those who are at ease in Zion.” Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary defines “ease” as “the state of being comfortable.” So why would Amos pronounce a “woe” on those who are at ease? The ...read more
