When disobedient Jonah repented and agreed to obey God, his life was spared to bless an entire city. The blessings of God on those who choose to be obedient to His word is beyond human understanding, and they also become a great blessing to many.
We read in Jonah 2:10, And the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah out upon the dry land. (ESV)
