Many People Have Had Divine Opportunities That They Have Blown. Either they did not realize the significance of what they had or they knew but took it for granted. Gehazi the servant of Elisha is one of such examples. He trampled on a divine opportunity.

Gehazi had to meet Elisha where he lied to Elisha, and God judged him by making him a leper. At that point Gehazi and Elisha separated for good. This sad, but important story has many lessons to teach us about our own deceitful natures.

This verse reveals a lot about Gehazi. Gehazi has seen Naaman’s gift, but he has not seen the curse or the leprous nature attached to Naaman’s gift.
