Who are the Saints?
The Dictionary defines a saint
A Saint is a holy or godly person
A Saint is a very patient, unselfish person
In the NT, a saint is any Christian believer
The Bible agrees with the 3rd Definition
Saints are Alive and Known Today
Saints are not just those declared to be so after death
How do we know this is true?
I. Paul Wrote to the Saints (Eph. 1:1)
a. We only write letters to the living
b. Paul wrote to church members who were alive at that time
c. These letters had to do with personal relationships
i. Pastors & others were instructed to “perfect” the saints (Eph. 4:12)
ii. Money was to be distributed to help the poor saints (Rom. 12:13)
d. Paul, before his conversion, had imprisoned saints (Acts 26:10)
i. Later he was also imprisoned (a saint in a prion cell)
ii. In places of persecution, many saints are still imprisoned
e. Clearly, every believer is a saint
II. The Bible Outlines the Responsibilities of the Saints (Eph. 5:3)
a. Here is a great text for Christian living (Eph. 5:1-10)
b. Here is the key to understanding this kind of holy living
i. “As becometh saints”
ii. We are to live holy because we are saints
c. Saints out to live saintly
i. We are to be saints early in the morning and late at night
ii. We are to be saints when walking, talking, driving, ect.
III. The Wrath of the Antichrist will be Against the Saints (Rev 13:7)
a. There are difficult days ahead for Tribulation saints
b. Many are to be martyred durning that terrible time
c. Trails of most saints today are small in comparison (Rev. 16:16)
d. Saints are to overcome then and now by the blood of the Lamb (Rev. 12:11)
IV. The Saints will Return with Christ to Reign (Jude 14)
a. Walking with God enabled Enonch to see the future coming kingom
b. The saints will come riding in (Rev. 19:11-16)
c. The saints will rule and reign with their Savior King (Rev 20:6)
In Every Age, God Has a Remnant that Represents Him
The Saints Represent Their Savior in the Present Evil World
What kind of a representative of Jesus are You!!!!!
