Rev. #67~19:11-14 THE GLORIOUS RETURN OF THE LORD JESUS 8-21-10

Today we’re going to talk about the event that the whole creation has been waiting for, the glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ to this very earth. From the very 1st verse of Genesis unto verse 11 of the Revelation where we’re at today, has all been centered on this wonderful and precious event.

If Jesus was not going to return like the Bible has said, every soul that’s has ever lived would be damned, but Jesus is alive and well.

In the oldest book of the Bible, I’m not talking about the Genesis account, but the oldest writing, which is Job; we read what brother Job had to say.

Job 19:23-27 Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book! 24That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever! 25For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: 26And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: 27Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another,--

Job said he was not looking for another Saviour, he’s looking for the same One.

Acts 1:9-11 9And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Listen as I read verse 11.

11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

When Jesus returns to earth the 2nd time, He comes on a white horse. In Old Biblical times, especially among the Israelis, most soldiers were foot soldiers. To have a horse in battle was a significant advantage. A horse spoke of honor, of power, and of speed; the color of this WHITE horse speaks of victory.

Let me say that before there was ever the earth the God Head had this all planned, God don’t do any thing from one day unto the next, He is a God of order, I like to picture Him as having a gigantic Prophetic calendar and every little detail is included on it, and its up to date, its right on time.

He has a plan and program for this earth, and His plan is unfolding with each passing moment. And here in verse 11 the part of His program where the Lord Jesus returns to the earth at the end of the Great Tribulation period, right before the establishment of His Kingdom has come to pass.

Here in verse 11 John sees heaven open, John saw a door open to heaven back in 4:1 to do with the rapture. Here John sees the Lord as the victorious White Horse Rider who comes out of heaven and who is also King of kings and Lord of lords.

This white horse is not that of 6:2, that is the Antichrist, and the antichrist, there in 6:2 is said to have on his head a crown, and it was given to him by the earth dwellers, meaning, they make him world leader, he don’t deserve this crown, but it’s given to him.

Revelation 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

And he does it with enticing words, he has a bow but no arrows.

11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Here the True Messiah returns in victorious conquest. He is Faithful & True to His Word and His promises. He will fulfill the two-fold role of judge and warrior. His judgment of the earth will be totally righteous.

Ps. 96:10-13--- he shall judge the people righteously. 11Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof 12Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice 13 Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
